18th Asian Games ended in Jakarta this evening with a spectacular closing ceremony. Hangzhou in China will host the next Asian Games.

India ended their Asian Games campaign with a total of 69 medals, including 15 gold, 24 silver and 30 bronze medals. With this medal haul at the 2018 Games, India surpassed their highest Asian Games tally of 65 medals at the 2010 Guangzhou edition.

Union Sports Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore lauded athletes for their brilliant performance as India finished with 15 gold medals in the 18th edition of the Asian Games held in Jakarta and Palembang.

India ended their Asian Games campaign with a total of 69 medals, including 15 gold, 24 silver and 30 bronze medals. With this medal haul at the 2018 Games, India surpassed their highest Asian Games tally of 65 medals at the 2010 Guangzhou edition.

More than 10,000 athletes gave their best at the Asian Games 2018, winning medals for their respective countries. 465 gold medals were won by the athletes of 28 countries. 37 out of 45 participating nations were able to win medals at the Asian Games 2018. China finished on top of the medal tally with 132 gold medals.
